Nothing shouts summer quite like the bright and vibrant taste of freshly made salsa. We love how this recipe pairs sweet chunks of mango with creamy avocado and spicy jalapeño. This is an easy and adaptable recipe that you’ll love making for your friends and family over and over again!
2 c diced mango* (about 1 medium mango)
1 c diced avocado* (about 1 medium avocado)
1 c diced tomato*
1/2 c diced red onion*
1.5 Tbsp lime juice* (about 2 limes, juiced)
1 Tbsp finely diced jalapeño* (optional to add spice)
1/4 c fresh cilantro*
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Salt to taste
*Ingredient available to add to your Imperfect box
Begin by finely dicing your mango, avocado, tomato, red onion, and jalapeño. Add all of the diced ingredients to a large mixing bowl.
Next, add your lime juice, cilantro, garlic powder, and salt to a blender. Blend until smooth. Then add the blended lime cilantro dressing to the mixing bowl containing the diced ingredients.
Gently mix the salsa ingredients together until well coated with the lime cilantro dressing. Add to a serving bowl and serve with tortilla chips. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes and Variations
Fresh salsa is best if eaten within 2-3 days of making. Store it in a sealed container in the fridge. If you like a sweet salsa like this recipe but don’t have mangos around, try making it with peaches or nectarines instead! For a milder salsa, be sure to remove the seeds and membranes from your jalapeño before adding it.
